Mont Ida Building

"It is not enough to be good if you have the ability to be better.  It is not enough to be very good if you have the ability to be great!"

~ Albert Lee Cox, Grade 8

Mt. Ida is an amazing place!  It is a 1st - 8th grade building in the USD 365 school district, that serves the Amish Community, although all are welcome.  Mrs. Johnson teaches the lower grades 1st - 4th, and 5th & 6th grade math.  Mrs. Rockers teaches the upper grades 5th - 8th and PE.  Mrs. Watt is the building aide and works with both classes.  Mrs. Powls is the Music Teacher, and Mrs. Linn is the Computer Teacher.  This year, Mrs. Pracht serves Mt. Ida as the Librarian.  Mt. Ida is now located on the Westphalia campus.

Mt. Ida Junior High students have the opportunity to participate in sports with Westphalia and ACJSHS.  They participate in Quiz Bowl.  Whenever possible, Mt. Ida is included in district events, along with the other elementary schools, as well as, doing things with their Greeley friends.  It is important to recognize our differences, but it is equally important to know that "all people smile in the same language".

Mt. Ida is a warm, caring school.  I am proud of the children and staff of Mt. Ida!

"Teaching kids to kids to count is fine, but teaching them what counts is best!"
